Use MapBlast! to create a waypoint "Route" for your GPS device.

I created this utility just before my GPS manufacturer released a new version of their software that had much improved support for route generation. So... I've all but abandoned it. I suppose I could be talked into fixing it up again if anyone wants to try...

Requirements

GPS Route currently creates a Waypoint+ .txt file, so you need GPS software that can read it. Here are the ones I know of. Please send me an email if you verify one of the titles below, or if you know of any others.

Important

If MapBlast! does not return with a valid "Search Results" page, but rather asks you to refine your search, you must restart your search from this page. You cannot follow MapBlast!'s pages to clean up your search. Maybe I'll add that functionality sometime...

Enhancements / Bugs

  • Use a cookie to save your last route from one session to another
  • Support more file formats. I'll probably start with the native MapSource file format. Suggest others...
  • Anyone know of any other map sites that use latitude and longitude?
